Describe Yourself:I was born and raised in Michigan but moved to California in the 80s because General Dynamics wanted to hire me at one of their divisions in San Diego, California. I was a technical editor there for a few years, then with other companies in San Diego until 2005.
In 2005 I moved back to Michigan (with the husband and cat I picked up in California) to be near family. My parents are in their 70s and have constant health issues, and one of my sisters had cancer.
So I'm glad to be here for those reasons but sorry because of the horrid economy in Michigan. I'm still a technical writer and editor, but no one in Michigan has job security. -

Ina ♥ Tagline Free Since September '09 ♥, Sep 20, 2009, 6:10PM EDTIt would take me several hours to link to all the pics and posts about Gus. I've posted about him extensively since I've been here. I think he represents the underdog who fights for recognition in all of us.

Gessy D., Aug 16, 2009, 2:52PM EDTHi Elizabeth!! How are you this wonderful Sunday afternoon? I must say that it is hot in NY. I am going out to the movies where there is A/C and walk around the area to relax a bit. Enjoy your afternoon.

Eliza Hartley, Aug 13, 2009, 11:01AM EDTHi Elizabeth - I just wanted to stop by to say hi, and thanks for the participation in the discussions I post! Particularly the ones regarding literature. That's also part of the reason I'd also like to invite you to join a new discussion about the legacy of Anne Frank's diary. This August is its 65-year anniversary of its publication - did you know that? What do you think keeps its legacy going? What keeps people coming back and reading it? Please join the conversation. Here's a link: http://bit.ly/16TKm7. Thanks so much!
